Hi! I'm Amanda, an Indianapolis-based Registered Dietitian (RD) who loves sharing food and nutrition basics with students and community members.
I supervise foodservice operations within Indiana's largest public school district, helping to provide free breakfast and lunch to 30,000 students daily. In addition, I organize our Fresh Fruit & Vegetable program, Food Recovery program, product testing for menu development, wellness programming, and assist with modified meals. With a new diverse menu and The Bus Stop Cafe roll-out this year, I also serve as a media contact for our department.
My inaugural years in Indiana were spent as the Wellness Nutritionist for Ball State University Dining overseeing individual dietary accommodations, counseling students on healthy options, and promoting health and wellness initiatives throughout campus. I also supervised menu development and implementation of USDA guidelines at Ball State's on-campus K-12.
