As the President-elect for the Indiana Academy and Foodservice Operations Manager with Indianapolis Public Schools, Amanda plays a key role in the promotion of healthy lifestyles and nutritious school meals.
She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Dietetics with a specialization in Health Promotion from Michigan State University which she earned before completing her Foodservice Management focused Dietetic Internship at Concordia College in Minnesota.
Hi! I'm Amanda, an Indianapolis-based Registered Dietitian (RD) who loves sharing food and nutrition basics with students and community members.
I spent my inaugural years in Indiana as the Wellness Nutritionist for Ball State University Dining overseeing individual dietary accommodations, counseling students on healthy options, and promoting health and wellness initiatives throughout campus. I also supervised menu development and implementation of USDA guidelines at Ball State's on-campus K-12. In October of 2016 I moved into K-12 foodservice full-time, as a Foodservice Operations Manager for Indianapolis Public Schools. While this role continues to evolve, my main responsibilities will include supervising three satellite locations, co-supervising our food-prep high schools, and assisting with special projects, menu development, and modified meals.
